Adrian Boldurescu, head of the General Public Transport and Communications Division, said that SA Termocom is ready to start the works immediately after the heating season closes, while “Chisinau-Gaz” when it will receive authorization from the City Hall. The works on Alecsandri and Negruzzi streets were estimated at €20-30 million, while on Stefan cel Mare Blvd. - at €15 million. In 2011, the municipality approved a project to modernize street infrastructure and repair six main streets in the center of Chisinau, counting Stefan cel Mare, Constantin Negruzzi, Vasile Alecsandri, 31 august 1989, Tighina, and Alexandru cel Bun. The value of the project is €22 million. The European Investment Bank in 2012 provided €10 million to the municipality, while the rest of the sum was offered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This year, there will be repaired the streets Constantin Negruzzi, Vasile Alecsandri and Stefan cel Mare.
