The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration informs the Moldovans who are, cross or intend to travel to Greece that the Greek authorities decided to close the local banks at least until July 6. The withdrawals were limited to €60 a day for clients of local banks, only on the territory of Greece, IPN reports.
The Ministry recommends the Moldovan citizens to possess sufficient amounts in cash so as to cover all the costs in the event that the Greek banks stop work.
Greece has been in a crisis for a period. The country has a debt of €1.6 billion to the IMF. Next Sunday, the people in Greece will take part in a referendum to say if they want the negotiations with the creditors to continue and to later apply the austerity policy or not.
