Twenty regions in Bulgaria are under orange code. The drivers are asked to outfit their cars with winter tires and chains, to have water and mobile phones on them, to drive attentively and obey the orders of the authorities. The orange code covers the regions of Pazardjik, Plovdiv, Smolian, Kardjali, Haskovo, Iambol, Burgas, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Loveci, Gabrovo, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Razgrad, Shumen, Silistra, Dobrici, Tirgovishte, and Varna.
