The Border Police of Romania warn about traffic congestion at the Romanian-Bulgarian border crossing point Giurgiu-Ruse owing to the works to rehabilitate communications. Travelers going to Bulgaria with motor vehicles are urged to use other checkpoints, including Vama Veche –Constanta County, Negru Voda – Constanta County, Ostrov – Constanta County, and Calafat – Dolj County, IPN reports.

In a communique, the General Border Police Inspectorate of Romania says the Border Police were ordered to take the measures needed to perform the frontier formalities swiftly. The border authorities of Bulgaria were contacted to agree with them the measures required in such situations.
