Walkways and stairs leading to “Valea Morilor” park will be restored

The walkways and stairs that go to “Valea Morilor” Park will be restored as part of the current repair works executed by the municipal services. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca asked for an expenditure estimate for the rehabilitation works, Info-Prim Neo reports. Roman Sofroni, head of the Capital Constructions Division, said there will be repaired the access road to the lake, the two stairs that go down from Alexei Mateevici St and the pluvial water drainage system that will protect the beach from floods. “As regards the stairs, a study is to be carried out as there is a danger of landslide. Afterward, a tender contest will be announced to choose the contractor that will finish the fourth stage of the project to rehabilitate “Valea Morilor” Park,” said Roman Sofroni. Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca said the walkways and streets near the lake should be at least rehabilitated this year. “There should be made an expenditure estimate to see how much the works to rehabilitate the street along which the cleanup vehicles move will cost. The access of transport should be banned and we must see what we can do with the stairs,” he stated. Dorin Chirtoaca asked the municipal services responsible for maintaining the green areas to restore the pathways and stairs within possibilities. Extensive repair works will be carried out next year.
