An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale occurred at 01.04am on April 25 in the Vrancea seismic zone of Romania’s Galați County. The quake was felt in Chisinau, IPN reports.
The National Institute of Research and Development for Earth Physics said the earthquake happened at a depth of 23 km, near Tecuci (6 km), Mărășești (28 km), Focșani (37 km).
An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale occurred in Vrancea on the night January 31, at 03:26am. Then, the intensity in Chisinau was of about 2 of 12. At such intensity the people wake up, but no damage is caused to buildings.
