An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale shook Romania’s Vrancea region. The quake was felt in Moldova too. The head of the Experimental Seismology Center of the Chisinau Geology and Seismology Institute Ion Ilies has told IPN that the earthquake occurred at 17:49pm, at a depth of 130-140 km.
In Chisinau the earthquake measured 2-3 on the Richter scale, while in southern Moldova – 3.
An earthquake with a similar intensity was felt the last time in Moldova on January 24.
