Votes from abroad can change election outcome, Vitalie Ciobanu

Writer and publicist Vitalie Ciobanu is convinced that the votes from abroad can change the results of the November 28 early legislative elections. “The diaspora can invert the situation and offer the Alliance for European Integration a balloon of oxygen,” Vitalie Ciobanu stated for Info-Prim Neo. As to the discrepancy between the results announced by the Central Election Commission and the exit poll results, the editor-in-chief of the journal Contrafort said the respondents are probably not sincere when they are answer the questions. But the work of those who conducted the interviews is also unsatisfactory. Vitalie Ciobanu excludes the possibility of public disorder after the elections, as it happened last April. “The Communists Party obtained a good result, while the Democratic parties are not those that would provoke disorder,” he said. As regards post-electoral coalitions, Vitalie Ciobanu said the balance might be inclined by the Democratic Party (PDM). “We should wait for the final results. A decision will be taken at the negotiation table,” said the analyst. As many as 65,200 persons have voted abroad. A number of 28,285 people cast their votes in Italy, 4,330 in Russia, and by over 2,000 in Spain, the U.S., Greece, and France. The votes from abroad have not been yet counted. They may decide the fate of four seats of MP.
