Voters moving in shall declare new address to be put on election lists: a reminder
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) reminds that the people having changed their residencies shall inform the local public administration about their new addresses to be registered to vote, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communique by the CEC, the citizens shall submit a statement at leat 45 days ahead of the election day. Thus, they will be put on the voters' list.
The students learning in other cities shall vote in their hostels, provided they have registered as residing there.
If a voter moves to a new place between the date of compiling the list and the election day, she/he shall ask for a special permit from the polling station.
The Parliament rejected a draft to set the day for the parliamentary elections in 2009, on December 25.
