A number of persons informed the police that while they stayed in a line to cast their ballots, they were intimidated by civilians or other persons why didn’t have connection with the electoral process, but stayed near polling stations, IPN reports.
According to Marin Maxian, deputy head of the General Police Inspectorate, the police are dealing with nine cases of campaigning, five cases of blocking of roads, with the last three happening in Varnița, Anenii Noi, where polling places were established for Transnistrian voters. The police also received 44 reports of illegal transportation of voters and four cases of reasonable suspicion of voter corruption.
Marin Maxian said the rumors that doctors in Briceni issue medical certificates that are needed for voting at the place of stay haven’t been confirmed. The police visited the medical institutions, but these turned out to be closed.
