More than 100,000 voters cast their ballots in Chisinau municipality by 1pm. This is 15.9% of the residents eligible to vote. The data were presented by Ina Babin, deputy head of the Chisinau District Electoral Council, in a press briefing, IPN reports.
The voters in Rascani district are the most active ones, with a turnout of 17.5% at 1pm. The turnout in Botanica was 17%, in Centru – 16.8%, in Buiucani – 15.8%, in Ciocana – 15.3%.
The voter turnout in the suburban communities was 13.44% at 1pm. The voters in Vadul lui Voda town are the most active ones, with a turnout of 17.6% at 1pm. The turnout was the lowest in Bacioi – 9.3%.
For the elections to be validated, the voter turnout should be at least 25%.
