Over 26 300 voters or 25.01% of those eligible to vote cast their ballots in Balti municipality by 3:50pm. Thus, the turnout of voters needed to validate the elections was reached, IPN reports.

The women were the most active ones. They represented 57.27% of those who voted in Balti municiplaity, totaling  15 084.

Under the legislation, the courts of law validate the elections within ten days of the receipt of the reports by which the district electoral councils confirm or do not confirm the legality of elections in each of the electoral constituency by a decision.
