(Upd. - figures corrected) According to latest data from the Central Election Commission, by 18:45 the voter turnout in the national referendum represented 24.03% (639,452 votes), Info-Prim Neo reports. The highest figures were registered in the districts of Telenesti and Nisporeni – 34,85% (18,873 votes) and 31,54% (15,207 votes), respectively; the lowest are in Taraclia and the Gagauz autonomy – 10.16% and 6.84%, respectively. In the municipality of Chisinau, the turnout was 21.08%, while in Balti 16.30%. The polling stations will remain open until 21:00. The next turnout data will be released at 21:45. In the 29 July 2009 elections, 49.2% of the voters cast their ballots by 19:00.
