Voter turnout abroad is twice large compared with first round of elections

The number of Moldovans abroad who cast their ballots in the presidential runoff has doubled compared with the first round of elections, IPN reports.

According to the Central Election Commission, more than 54,000 Moldovans marked their ballots at the 100 polling places established abroad by 6:30pm on October 30. Over 111,000 people voted abroad by the same hour on November 13.

In both of the rounds of voting, the highest turnover was recorded in Italy, Romania, Russia, and France.
