All the over 2.8 million ballots have been taken from district courts to polling places for recount. The results will be announced on Thursday, December 16, in the first half of the day, the secretary of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Iurie Ciocan has said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Iurie Ciocan also said that no other statements on the issue can be made until the vote recount is completed. The CEC initiated the vote recount under the Constitutional Court decision of December 10. The court passed such a decision after the PCRM claimed serious mistakes had been made in counting the votes and in drawing up voting reports.
