Heavyweights of the Ecologist Party “Green Alliance” gave a vote of no confidence to the party’s president Vladimir Braga, whom they blame for the deviations from the ecologist doctrine, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a news conference on Monday, representatives of the party said they do not agree with some of the statements made by Vladimir Braga and his intention to form an alliance with parties that the Ecologist Party “Green Alliance” never supported. They expressed their concern about the exclusion of the Ecologist Party from the European Green Party. The party’s first vice president and secretary general Andrei Dumbraveanu said the decision to give a vote of no confidence to Vladimir Braga was approved by seven of the nine members of the Ecologist Party’s Executive Bureau. As to the possible alliances, Andrei Dumbraveanu said the Ecologist Party “Green Alliance” will form alliances only with healthy, democratic parties. The Ecologist Party’s National Council will hold a meeting on January 16 to discuss the situation inside the party and its future actions, said the party’s vice president Anatol Prohnitski. The Ecologist Party “Green Alliance” has about 5,000 members.
