Vote in European Parliament represents recognition of government’s efforts, PLR

The Liberal Reforming Party (PLR) welcomes the European Parliament’s decision to abolish the visa regime with Moldova. It considers that this decision represents recognition of the efforts made by the Moldovan pro-European government, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the party.

“The Liberal Reforming Party hopes that after all the bureaucratic procedures are performed, the Moldovan people holding biometric passports will be able to travel in the EU visa-free starting with the end of May,” it is said in the communiqué.

The PLR says it will continue to fulfill the commitments concerning the rapprochement between Moldova and the EU, made to the people.

The European Parliament on February 27 voted in favor of abolishing the visa requirements for the Moldovan citizens.
