The leader of the Party of Communists (PCRM) Vladimir Voronin accuses the current government of being preoccupied only with its image at foreign level and of ignoring the real problems of the citizens. According to Voronin, the authorities should focus on such tasks as the modernization of agriculture, creation of jobs and economic recovery, not on visits abroad, IPN reports.
The Communist leader said the PAS government uses the word “reform” to distract public attention from the serious problems faced by the country.
“The people are tired of the word “reform”. We have spoken about the reform for years, but this is reduced to driving staff away from the system and of appointing their persons instead. Agriculture is destroyed. There are no markets. We cannot export to Europe because we do not meet the standards. The Russian market is closed because we supported in Kiev the platform Crimea against Russia. These are real problems with which the government should deal with and it should not focus on trips abroad, Vladimir Voronin stated in the program “Moldova Live” on M1 TV channel.
He noted that the sum of €36.4 million provided by the European Union in budget support is insignificant. The Republic of Moldova cannot endlessly bank on foreign funds.
“What is €36 million for the Republic of Moldova even if we are not a big country? This is zero. The sum can be used to pay only for Natalia Gavrilița’s visits abroad. If we wait only for foreign loans and grants, we will achieve nothing. We must organize our economy and create conditions for starting businesses that yield money, not stay and wait for alms, especially because these loans that are offered to us are repaid with interest,” stated Vladimir Voronin.
The Communist veteran expressed his indignation at the fact that none of the bills presented by the opposition was included in the agenda for being debated in Parliament since the start of the autumn-winter session, the voice of the opposition being ignored.
