Voronin and Lupu go to Moscow separately

The president of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu will be paying a visit to Moscow on October 31. The Communists' leader Vladimir Voronin left for the Russian capital today, but the Democratic leader says it is a coincidence, Info-Prim Neo reports. Asked after the Parliament's sitting why he was going to Moscow, Marian Lupu said that he does not yet know the program of the visit, but this will be short. He was invited to Moscow by members of the United Russia Party. Marian Lupu does not exclude that he may have a meeting with the Russian president. The purpose of Voronin's visit is not known, but leading figures of the Communists Party said he could meet with Russian officials to discuss possibilities of overcoming the political crisis in Moldova.
