About 20 high school students from Chisinau staged a flashmob meeting in order to sensitize the people to the use of violence against children. They played football in the square of the National Opera House “Maria Biesu”, urging thus the aggressors to hit the ball, not the children.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the Commission for Defending Children’s Rights Alexandrina Graur said that the cases of violence against children increased in number and civil society should sound the alarm.
“It is a serious problem and we cannot ignore the use of violence against children. The most serious thing is that this behavior is considered normal and the children grow up in an unhealthy and distressing environment. Our drive’s slogan “Do not hit the child, hit the ball” applies to parents and persons with negative energy who direct this energy to the child by violence,” said Alexandrina Graur.
She also said that the flashmobbing promotes a healthy lifestyle and this method of demonstration is interesting and new as young people play football in the square of the National Opera House not every day.
