Vocea Basarabiei broadcasts through Antena C frequency in Chisinau

The 102.3 FM frequency band used by the municipal radio station Antena C since its appearance on October 1, 1998 will be used by the radio station Vocea Basrabiei from October 23. After working for over nine years and a half on the media market, Vocea Basarabiei could be now heard in every house in Moldova and in cars, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to one of the founders of the station, Valeriu Saharneanu, Vocea Basrabiei has participated in dozens of contests, submitted over 200 applications, but obtained only eight frequencies. Saharneanu said that at the meetings of the Broadcasting Coordination Council, Vocea Basarabiei every time presented its product – news, debate, cognitive and interactive programs – while other radio stations broadcast only music, but were favored by the Council and issued with large-coverage frequency bands. “At last, we obtained a frequency band through which Vocea Basarabiei will cover about 40% of the broadcasting area.” Saharneanu said Vocea Basarabiei will continue to apply for other frequencies and will participate in the next contest of frequencies that will take place late in November or early in December. So far, Vocea Basarabiei had eight frequencies. In Chisinau, this radio station was received on the eastern 71.56 FM waveband and only special radios could get it.
