Table tennis player Vladislav Ursu has qualified dramatically for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games. The 16-yeatr-old athlete started the qualifying tournament in Croatia with two defeats, but then won the next six matches, IPN reports.
Only four tennis players from Europe have qualified for the Buenos Aires Olympics. Ursu trains with the Franzeluta team and at a club in Germany. His coach is Vladimir Semipeadnyi.
He is the second Moldovan who has qualified for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, after archer Milena Gatsko. The competition in Argentina will take place during October 6-18, 2018.
