Moldova’s Vladislav Arventi was eliminated in the quarter finals of the WTF World Taekwondo Championships in South Korea, Info-Prim Neo reports. Arventi lost 3-2 to Iranian Reza Naderian in the 63kg category, on Thursday, May 5. In the first two rounds, Arventi had defeated Austria’s Aziz Ahmetov and Sweden’s Milad Ashana. The other Moldovan fighter involved, Andrei Rotaru (58kg) was eliminated in the round of last 16. Vladislav Arventi is regarded as Moldova’s best Taekwondo fighter. In 2010, he won Moldova’s only medal in this competition at senior level- bronze at the European Championships. The 17 year old Arventi will likely represent Moldova at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
