Vladimir Voronin will leave for Moscow to see horserace
Vladimir Voronin will have an informal meeting with his Russian counterpart Dimitry Medvedev in Moscow on Saturday, July 18. Moldova’s outgoing president was invited to watch a horserace titled “Russian President’s Cup” together with other heads of state from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Info-Prim Neo reports.
At a news conference on Wednesday, Vladimir Voronin confirmed that he will have a meeting with Dimitry Medvedev. “It is a traditional competition of the Russian president that brings together presidents of CIS member states. It is an occasion for an informal summit of the CIS,” Vladimir Voronin said.
He also said that he will be in Moscow for half a day. During this period, he will discuss urgent issues with Medvedev.
Asked how the loan provided by Russia to Moldova will be used, Voronin said that the money will go on investments, not to cover the budget deficit.
