The head of the Protection and Guard Service Igor Bodorin has told Info-Prim Neo that if the term in office of the head of state expires, he resigns or cannot hold the post anymore, he benefits from medical assistance for life, free treatment in health spas once a year and car by order according to the limits set by the Government. “The car is not available round the clock, but only when necessary. The director of the Government’s garage is informed about the necessity of using the car beforehand so that the car could be reserved,” Bodorin said. The President and his family, the Head of Parliament and the Prime Minister benefit from state guard in Moldova. They are provided with guard and car with a flasher immediately after election or appointment. When the term in office expires, the heads of state benefit from state guard for four years more, while the heads of Parliament for one year more.
