Vladimir Voronin tells PACE President PCRM will not vote for Marian Lupu

The president of the Communists Party (PCRM) Vladimir Voronin, during a phone conversation, informed the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Mevlut Cavusoglu that the party he heads will not vote in Marian Lupu as head of state, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communiqué, the PCRM says the interlocutors agreed that the Moldovan political forces should make effort to overcome the political crisis confronting Moldova. Vladimir Voronin said the PCRM was ready to vote in favor of an independent, politically unaffiliated candidate from outside Parliament, who would be accepted by entire society and would win most of the votes of MP. The Communist leader welcomed the intention of the PACE President to pay a working visit to Chisinau in the near future and his wish to contribute to the resolving of the political crisis. Mevlut Cavusoglu will visit Moldova early in February at the invitation of Acting President Marian Lupu.
