Vladimir Voronin: Strelet Government should be dismissed and a new government should be formed without PLDM

The chairman of the Party of Communists (PCRM) Vladimir Voronin considers the Strelet Government should be dismissed and a government consisting of technocrats should be formed, which would be voted in by all the MPs, except for those of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM). Ex-Premier Vlad Filat is behind the Platform “Dignity and Truth”, while the protests mounted by the Party of Socialists and the “Our Party” are possibly orchestrated by the Democratic Party. The Communists’ leader made such statements in the talk show “Fourth power” on N4 TV channel, IPN reports.

“We should vote together, all those 79 MPs of all the parties, as we voted today or the day when we annulled the immunity of Filat. Those from the PLDM should be driven away, while their party should be ‘outlawed’. They always tended to control the Government so as to manage the money and steal. If a serious analysis of all the grants provided to Moldova is made, it will be determined how much money was stolen. They discredited the notions of European integration and democracy. Is only the PLDM able to manage the Government? The country needs a government that would not be formed based on political criteria,” stated Vladimir Voronin.

He noted that Valeriu Strelet is not competent to hold the post of Premier. “When the country faces such a serious crisis, he goes to Madrid to defend Filat. Since he took up, he has done nothing concrete. He only gives news conferences,” stated the leader of the PCRM.

As to the protests staged in the center of Chisinau, the Communists’ leader said there is Vlad Filat behind the protests mounted by the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth”, while the protests held by Igor Dodon and Renato Usatyi could be stage-managed by the Democratic Party. “There are particular interests here. I think that when the censure motion is adopted, they will take down their tents. The people should not be kept out in such weather,” he stated.

He also harshly criticized the Moldova mass media. “The media in Moldova promote particular interests. We do not have free media. Even the public TV channel, which is funded with money from the state budget, is controlled by Mihai Ghimpu,” said Vladimir Voronin.
