“The opposition wants to become a kamikaze, but it wants to do this with our hands. They want us to push them towards the early elections, not vice versa. But we categorically do not want other elections, but in four years,” reiterated Moldova's outgoing president Vladimir Voronin after the parliament's session on May 28, Info-Prim Neo reports. Voronin has stated that this week they will try to talk with the leaders of those three parliamentary factions, till June 3. “We have not received any proposals from the opposition so far. We propose them to organize the normal co-functioning in the Parliament and to elect the Moldovan president,” Voronin has stated, stressing “the opposition runs from consultations.” “It's not about making a coalition, but about reaching an agreement. We proposed good candidates, I think nobody can propose better nominees. Somebody may personally see himself president, but such tsars appear every now and then,” Voronin says. “There are three key points to be taken into account: accepting a professional vision of the Cabinet, its professional structure and insuring the political support for the measures and actions that Cabinet may come up with, especially in crisis,” said PCRM MP Marian Lupu, the former speaker and possible next premier. “To overcome the political crisis, another priority would be to start consultations with all society, I talk referendum, why not?” said Lupu. He specifies the political regime from Moldova shall move to form a parliamentary political regime, or to return to the elements of a presidential regime, because now it is fifty-fifty. “These issues must not be discussed hastily, it's a task of the political class, which consider itself mature, responsible and serious, to reach an optimal format,” Marian Lupu added.
