The leader of the Communists Party Vladimir Voronin, Moldova’s third President, voted for a better life for the people and for the country’s European future. Vladimir Voronin came to the polling place at about 10.00, accompanied by his wife Taisia, Info-Prim Neo reports. The PCRM leader said he hopes the voter turnout will be 63-65%. “I felt the voters distrust all the political leaders because we were unable to end the political crisis. The weather is nice and I hope many people will take part in elections,” said Vladimir Voronin. He also said he is ready to make a compromise in order to overcome the political crisis, but will not take part in negotiations for designating a party leader for the post of President of Moldova. The president of the PCRM stated he knows about some of the schemes that the political leaders want to employ to rig the elections. Therefore, the PCRM, alongside the Central Election Commission, started to monitor the voting process. Vladimir Voronin voiced hope that the elections will take place smoothly and there will be no conflicts. As to the results of the exit polls that will be presented when the polling places close, Vladimir Voronin said he does not know politicians who would trust them.
