Vladimir Voronin says he does not want new parliamentary elections

The outgoing president of Moldova Vladimir Voronin told the public TV channel Moldova 1 in an interview on Tuesday that he does not want new parliamentary elections. “We cannot trigger the backflash anymore,” the head of state said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Voronin stressed that the important thing is that the PCRM and the parties that formed the Alliance for European Integration get along. “We have not been yet invited to dialogue by a party or the whole coalition. Therefore, we cannot judge and predict what intentions the coalition members have,” the president said. The leaders of the Alliance said they will initiate the dialogue with the PCRM before the first sitting of the Parliament scheduled for August 28.
