Former President of the Republic of Moldova, the leader of the Communist Party, Vladimir Voronin, believes that the alliance formed between the Socialists and the members of the ACUM bloc, in June this year, was an artificial one, as during this time the Socialists and Democrats have maintained their collaborative relations. Vladimir Voronin is of the opinion that the Socialists and the Democrats were involved in certain schemes and could not give up on them overnight, IPN reports.
The former president says that in June, when the coalition between the PSRM and the ACUM bloc was created, representatives of these two political forces listened to the recommendations of the foreign ambassadors accredited to Chisinau, creating the PSRM-ACUM coalition, while the Socialists secretly continued their relations with the Democrats. "They (e.n. the Socialists and the Democrats) were silent on the matter and did what Moscow told them, what other ambassadors and representatives told them, but remained involved in their schemes which they did not want to destroy as these schemes implied millions, money, various interests," stressed the politician.
In the opinion of the PCRM leader, the preparation of the current Government headed by Ion Chicu started as soon as the cabinet led by Maia Sandu was formed in June this year.
At the same time, Vladimir Voronin argues that he does not believe that the European Union, the United States of America, the Russian Federation will be indifferent to the political situation created jointly by the Socialist Party and the Democratic Party.
Further, Vladimir Voronin is puzzled by the fact that both the political forces in the Parliament and the entire society pay so much attention to the election of the Prosecutor General. "I do not remember paying so much attention to this institution in the years when we were at the Presidency. Each institution must do its job according to the law, the Constitution, the respective rules. Why do we fetishize this institution? We assign this role to the Prosecutor's Office and the prosecutors, when they are so many. And we grant them a pension of 20 thousand lei, as if they were miners," mentioned the communist leader on "The Fourth Power" show, N4 TV station. In his opinion, all institutions must work together effectively.
