“The world experiences a pandemic, but they make replacements in the Government, Parliament,” stated the leader of the Party of Communists Vladimir Voronin, referring to the latest changes on the national political arena. The former President of Moldova noted that the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) will resort to all the possible means to remain in power, IPN reports.

“According to press reports that weren’t very much disseminated, Pavel Filip and Dumitru Diacov visited Miami recently for some reasons. Let’s pretend that we don’t know for what reasons. What instructions did they receive in Miami? We will yet learn many things. Such personages like Dumitru Diacov want to remain in power at any cost. They will accept any stratagem so as to remain where there are now,” Vladimir Voronin stated in the program “Secrets of the Power” on Jurnal TV channel.

He noted that the PDM will not obtain the post of Prime Minister or that of Parliament Speaker. Related statements were made only in order to calm things down inside the party.

“They make these statements so as to calm the party members. But this is actually betrayal on the part of Pavel Filip and Dumitru Diacov. They came to terms and nothing else matters for them,” stated Vladimir Voronin.

He also said that the split among the Democrats and the creation of the Pro Moldova group are a reaction and a protest to what is going on inside the PDM.
