Vladimir Voronin: PCRM will get 80 seats in next parliament

The Communists Party (PCRM) will have 80 seats in the next parliament, after the early elections. The statement was made after Wednesday's sitting of the parliament by president in office and speaker Vladimir Voronin, Info-Prim Neo reports. He has shown himself confident his party will get even more votes. “The PCRM has never assumed a victory it has not won,” Voronin stated. “There was no attempt to win the victory, to win the elections by rigging them, to give money to voters. In the early elections, the Moldovan citizens will finally say what kind of rule they want in the country,” the PCRM leader said. Vladimir Voronin says he knew they will get to have early elections. “I understood this from all the actions organized by the opposition, from vandalizing the quarters of the Parliament and Presidency, and from other measures,” Voronin said. He's told media Marin Lupu has never been proposed for the position of prime-minister since Zinaida Greceanai has not been elected president. “If Zinaida Greceanai were elected president, Marian Lupu would have been designated prime-minister,” Voronin said.
