The Communist Party (PCRM) will continue the protests in different forms and in a number of institutions of the country. The struggle against the government will be fought not only before 50,000 people in the Great National Assembly Square, but also in Parliament, in villages and in companies because what happens in Moldova affects everyone, the leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin said in the program “Politica” on TV7 channel, IPN reports.

Vladimir Voronin stated that the rulers go to the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius in secret and nobody knows with what they will return from there and with what this process will end. ”I want to be optimistic and believe that somebody in Brussels will wake up in the context of the situation in Ukraine and will stop fooling everyone. The EU is a voluntary union, but they exert pressure on the former Soviet countries. Our road to the EU goes only through the Customs Union, which is an effective and verified way. Moldova is not ready for European integration,” said the Communist leader.

He also said that the PCRM’s message is for the European modernization of Moldova, not for its European integration. “Nobody will need us if we do not modernize and do not meet the European standards. The European integration process is very difficult and expensive, especially because the EU is already in an economic crisis and I don’t think it will exist in 20 years. Moldova will never become an EU member and it is very important that we morally prepare the people for this reality,” stated Vladimir Voronin.

He underlined that if the PCRM returns to power, it will institute mechanisms for fighting corruption, but will not transform the country into a jail and oligarchs will continue to exist in Moldova.
