Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin will attend the ceremonies dedicated to the National Holiday “Our Language” on August 31 neither this year. “As a rule it happens that after August 27 I leave for vacation,” he told a news conference on Wednesday, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vladimir Voronin insisted he has a right to rest just like everybody. He said he would be on a holiday in Croatia from August 1 to 10, invited by his counterpart Stjepan Mesic. After August 27 he will take two weeks off more he traditionally spends in the Czech town of Karlovy Vary. He was invited to attend the celebration of the 650th anniversary of that town. The President has said he might interrupt his vacation in case of emergency. For several years Vladimir Voronin has not participated in the Our Language Holiday, leaving right after celebrating the Independence Day.
