President Igor Dodon is an opportunist and is a person of interests. The future presidential elections are his interest at present, the leader of the Party of Communists (PCRM) Vladimir stated in the talk show “Black Box” on TV8 channel.

Asked if Igor Dodon is the man of Moscow, the president of the PCRM said everything depends on his interests and if his personal interests are related to Moscow, he can be Moscow’s man.

“If the interest is more favorable in Moscow, he will be Moscow’s man. Tomorrow he will be Kiev’s man and the day after tomorrow Bucharest’s man and so on. Where there are his interests, he will be there. Now his interests center on the future presidential election, but he also thinks about support from outside,” stated Vladimir Voronin.

Despite the public misunderstandings between Igor Dodon and the former leader of the PDM Vlad Plahotniuc, Vladimir Voronin said in reality the President is influenced by the former Democratic leader.

“He has never been independent. He was always influenced by the circumstances. He was influenced by Plahotniuc and continues to be influenced by this. Interests between them remained and there are moments when one of them can be powerfully influenced by the other one if they reveal something,” said Moldova’s ex-President.

The president of the PCRM noted the popular approval rating of Igor Dodon is created artificially and the real rating has declined as there were achieved no results. “The people saw nothing positive during all these years. Those who were before Dodon did nothing and now also nothing is done,” stated Vladimir Voronin.
