Vladimir Voronin: If we win, we will stat serious work in Chisinau

The Communist Party Thursday presented its electoral platform and the candidates who will run in the summer elections under the slogan: “Igor Dodon is the solution for Chisinau”. The PCRM’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau said the presentation was organized today because it is the Holy Thursday, while the park where the event took place is one of the dirties in Chisinau. “Today we start the cleanup,” stated Igor Dodon. “This is only the beginning. We will mobilize all the supporters of the PCRM. On June 5, there will be more than half of the residents of Chisinau near us. I assure you that we will make everything possible to improve the situation in the capital city,” said Igor Dodon He also said that the PCRM’s team for the municipal elections consists of professionals who intend to work, not talk, and to develop Chisinau. “We divided the problems into eight chapters, starting with social problems, infrastructure and security and ending with the economic base of Chisinau municipality,” stressed the Communist candidate. The leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin said that during eight years the party showed that it includes professionals who are able to solve the most serious problems, while Igor Dodon is the best candidates for mayor of Chisinau. “If we win, we will stat serious work in Chisinau,” he stated, adding that they intended to field Igor Dodon for Prime Minister, but the situation in Chisinau is very difficult and he can lend a hand. Vlad Batrancea, one of the PCRM’s candidates for seats on the Chisinau Municipal Council, said the urbanistic development plan of Chisinau will be implemented and there will be constructed highways, new parking garages and a solid waste recycling plant. The streets will be no more stopped up, but fully repaired. Another candidate for councilor, Ion Ceban said they will help the socially unprivileged groups, will increase the compensations, will provide all the children with places at kindergarten and will economically support the young people. Deputy mayor Igor Lupulciuc said they will ensure transparency in the work of the City Hall and will reorganize the public procurement system in order to reduce corruption. The City Hall’s employees will be tested, while the new staff will be employed by contest. Former Premier Zinaida Greceanyi said the money for the municipal budget will not be taken from the state budget because there are many companies in Chisinau that can help augment the municipality’s budget. Igor Dodon is under No.6 in the ballots for the mayor of Chisinau. In the ballots for the Chisinau Municipal Council, the PCRM heads the list. The order was decided by draw.
