Vladimir Voronin demands withdrawing seat of judge of Victor Puscas
The leader of the Communist Party Vladimir Voronin asked the Supreme Council of Magistrates and the Constitutional Court to initiate the procedure for withdrawing Victor Puscas’ seat of judge of the Constitutional Court, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the PCRM.
“In February 26, in the program “Replica” on the channel TV Prime, Mister Puscas openly commented on the political events taking place in the country and stated his opinion on a number of issues that may be examined by the Constitutional Court, such as the election of the President of Moldova, and the legitimacy and dissolution of Parliament,” reads the communiqué.
The PCRM says the Law on the Constitutional Court obliges the judges of the Constitutional Court to keep the deliberations and votes secret. “However, Mister Puscas not only once revealed the secret of the vote in the mass media, adopted a public position on a number of political events, while his opinions about the political crisis became real propaganda in favor of the current power,” it is said in the communiqué.
