The renewal of Chisinau has begun for more than a year and must be sustained in the same pace. Chisinau began to discover its European aspect and it is inadmissible that these changes stop – the process must continue no matter what, the president declared during a meeting regarding perspectives for projects that took place or have just began for the development and modernization of the Chisinau municipality. According to the Press Service of the President, amongst the projects that are unwinding or will take place in Chisinau are the “Model - district”, the construction of the Northern Auto Station, the arrangement of the Central Cemetery, the reparation of several streets and fountains, the renewal of the highways from the city entries, the arrangement of the River Bic area, purchase of public transport units, street illumination, the construction of the asylum for the old people from Ciocana, etc. According to the same source, a special attention has been paid to the quality of the works, the means of selection of the entrepreneurs, as well as the mechanisms of financing of the mentioned projects. After a thorough analysis of the information presented by the Ministry of Finances and the interim Mayor of Chisinau, the participants at the meeting have come to the conclusion that the budget of this year as well as the one of next year can stomach the expenses. The possibility to attract sponsors in several projects has also been mentioned. At the meeting were also present the prime-minister Vasile Tarlev, the ministry of finance, Mihail Pop, ministry of Transports and Roads, Miron Gagauz, the interim mayor of Chisinau Municipality, Vasile Ursu, presidential counselor Petru Griciuc.
