The chairman of the Communist Party (PCRM) Vladimir Voronin accuses the government of being led by European forces. In a press briefing during a break in the July 12 sitting of Parliament, the Communist leader said that in the legislature’s autumn-winter session, the Communist faction will come accompanied by the people. He gave no other details. The Communist leader didn’t want to answer journalists’ questions, IPN reports.
“The Republic of Moldova is managed from outside, by Europeans. The country is governed neither by the executive, not Parliament or the head of state. There is a group of people who design the daily agenda of the rulers,” said Vladimir Voronin.
He also accused the Cabinet, saying it is not professional. “What we see in healthcare, education, defense and all the other areas arouses concern,” stated the Communist leader.
In the last sitting of the spring-summer session, the Communist faction demanded that the EU Ambassador to Moldova Dirk Schuebel should be declared persona non-grata as he laundered money alongside the Moldovan rulers. The Communists’ proposal wasn’t put to the vote, while Speaker Igor Corman said that such statements represent populism.
