Moldova’s former President Vladimir Voronin said incumbent President Igor Dodon should have disappeared from the public sphere last year, following the dissemination of the videos showing him having discussions with Vladimir Plahotniuc and Sergey Yaralov, IPN reports.
“Immediately after that eight-minute long film appeared, Dodon should have disappeared independently, without Năstase offering him this, without other “bags” appearing and without intrigues with Maia Sandu and all the others emerging. He should have disappeared immediately. A president featured in films. A whole country, the whole Europe and all the Internet users can see you this way,” Vladimir Voronin stated in the talk show “Fourth Power” on N4 TV channel.
The president of the Party of Communists noted that those videos discredited the whole country, the presidential institution and the government.
Vladimir Voronin said the former leader of the Democratic Party Vladimir Plahotniuc is taking revenge on Igor Dodon for violating the agreements as to how things were to develop in Moldova after the parliamentary elections of February 2019.
“Igor Dodon betrayed Platoniuc. They agreed how to govern after those elections. The agreement was ended overnight or not long before. He is definitely taking revenge and will continue to take revenge. Why should he disclose those videos with bags? For what purpose? Only for this purpose,” stated the Communist leader.
