Vladimir Voronin: AEI parties will soon shift to Opposition

After the early legislative elections, the four parties that formed the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) will move to the Opposition and remain there for a long time, being thus penalized by the voters, the leader of the Communists Party Vladimir Voronin told the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Dirk Schuebel in a meeting, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the PCRM. Vladimir Voronin said the low voter turnout in the September 5 referendum is the result of the disastrous policy pursued by the AEI while in power. “The disrespect for most of the Moldovan people, large-scale smuggling, higher prices and charges, low salaries and pensions, bad relations with the neighbors and all the related consequences for Moldova, ignoring of the Opposition's proposals are only some of the things that created the boomerang effect for the present governors,” says the communique. Vladimir Voronin stated that the PCRM pleads for the observance of the Constitution, immediate dissolution of Parliament and holding of early legislative elections. He expressed his confidence that after the early elections, Moldova will return to stability, while the four ruling parties will shift to the Opposition.
