Vladimir Turcan is ready to dialogue directly with Vladimir Voronin

The United Moldova Party will hold the fourth extraordinary congress on February 6. The agenda includes the examination of the political, social and economic situation in Moldova , the adoption of the party's new program and statute and the choosing of the logo that could be used in the possible early elections this year. In a news conference held after a period of silence of three weeks, the party's president Vladimir Turcan said increased interest was expressed in the political project launched by them not only by the sympathizers, but also by those who want such a party not to exist. “Several newspapers and a television channel disseminated absurdities about us. In reply, I'm ready to take part in a televised debate together with Vladimir Voronin and answer those questions that appear while silence is kept,” Turcan said. He said he wanted to answer a question that is asked rather frequently: “Who does the Turcan project belong to?” “They start posing such questions every time a new party appears in Moldova. They did so when Filat went into politics and when the Lupu project was launched,” Turcan said. Referring to possible ties between the United Moldova Party and United Russia, MP Vladimir Turcan said the similarity in name is not accidental. “The given Russian party was founded to unite the society and take the country out of the crisis. We have the same goals. The resemblance derives from here,” he said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
