Vladimir Plahotniuc most probably does not want to become Prime Minister himself, but wants a close person whom he could manipulate to hold this post, Vladimir Socor, political analyst of the Jamestown Foundation and Eurasia Daily Monitor, said in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on Radio Moldova channel, IPN reports.
“Vlad Plahotniuc wants to manage the Government too so as to have full control in the state. But he does not want to work as Prime Minister as this is too great responsibility. He likes to manage things from behind and most probably a person whom he could easily manipulate will be nominated for premiership,” stated the analyst.
According to Socor, the PDM will most likely suggest Iurie Leanca for premiership. “Leanca is Plahotniuc’s man. They will paint him in a European color so as to make the people believe that it is a pro-European government,” he said.
