Vladimir Golovatiuc presented the copies of his credentials as Moldova’s Ambassador in Moscow to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, taking up his duties this way. The announcement was placed on the Facebook page of Moldova’s Embassy in the Russian Federation, IPN reports.
“During my tenure as ambassador, I will contribute to maintaining and strengthening the friendly relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation and to developing continuous cooperation between the two states on the political, economic and humanitarian dimensions, while the Moldovan diaspora communities continue to occupy a special role in the activity of the diplomatic missions,” noted the new ambassador.
Vladimir Golovatiuc replaced Andrei Neguța, who was dismissed after anabolic steroids were found in a diplomatic vehicle that was on a service mission on the Moscow – Chisinau – Moscow route.
