The Democratic Party (PDM) intends to launch an extensive campaign to collect proposals from people for the government program, the party’s vice president Vladimir Cebotari was quoted by IPN as saying in the program “Reply” on Prime TV channel.
“We will launch a broad campaign to collect proposals from people who, for the first time, will create their own government program. The problems are solved at home and we will bring Europe at home. We aim to gather together the problems and govern based on them so as to solve them,” stated the politician. According to him, the citizens will be also invited to take part in discussions to identify solutions to these problems.
The vice president of the PDM noted the mixed electoral system is beneficial as the politicians who be mandated to govern should come from among the citizen. “That’s why the mixed system is good. It enables to identify people who bear personal responsibility for the people in constituencies. These will enter Parliament and will report to the people. There should be very clear mechanisms so that the people who do not do their job are removed,” he stated.
As to the planned Cabinet reshuffle, Vladimir Cebotari said the people should not think that those who will be removed from posts will be treated badly. Each of the Cabinet members did a good job while in office. “It’s now time to make changes in the Cabinet. The most important thing is to make these changes in the interests of the people,” noted the politician.
