Vladimir Cebotari, the Democratic Party’s candidate for Chisinau mayor, thinks the result achieved by his party countrywide is “encouraging” and “almost as good as expected.”
Speaking at a press conference after the polling stations closed, Cebotari described the race as “not that easy, but not that interesting either; rather dull.” And this was reflected by the turnout, he added. “I wish we had had a campaign more focused on ideas, visions, and clear solutions for Chisinau and its residents.”
Cebotari promised that regardless of how many PDM members make it into the Chisinau City Council, they will be the main advocates of the city residents.
