The vice president of the Democratic Party Vladimir Cebotari said that if the leader of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Năstase breaks the law, he could not be registered as a candidate in the upcoming parliamentary elections. This is how the Democratic heavyweight commented on the disseminated opinions about the possibility that Andrei Năstase will not be registered as an election runner in the talk show “Important” on TVC21 channel, IPN reports.
At the same time, Vladimir Cebotari said he will not run in any of the single-member constituencies. “I was entrusted with many other tasks and will thus not compete in constituencies,” he stated.
According to him, to run in a constituency the aspirant for the seat of MP should be at the place and cooperate with the people nonstop. “I every day have meetings with citizens, but in the evening. To win the elections in a constituency, the candidate should spend not only the whole day at the place, but also the whole night,” the politician noted in the program.
Vladimir Cebotari said the Democratic Party compiled the lists of candidates for the next elections, but these lists could ve yet changed. The party will present its candidates in accordance with the law.
The Democratic heavyweight also said that those who present the candidates now break the law and besides this violation, many other violations are being committed.
