Vlad Plahotniuc votes without his wife
Controversial businessman Vlad Plahotniuc, number 2 on the ticket of the Democratic Party, said he voted for the future of the country, for a decent living of Moldova's citizens.
Although he announced he would vote at 12:00, Vlad Plahotniuc showed up at the polling station a couple of hours later, accompanied by his press officer. The businessman said he came without his wife because she was on a business trip.
When asked about why he didn't come together with Democrat leader Marian Lupu, who happens to vote at the same polling station, Vlad Plahontiuc joked that Lupu's tallness against his own height would have given the cameramen a hard time.
Vlad Plahotniuc said he had no reason to be apprehensive about the outcome of the elections, but avoided to make forecasts before the reporters.
Plahontiuc also has said that he is considering renouncing his bodyguards and walk to work when he becomes an MP.
