The president of the Democratic Party (PDM) Vlad Plahotniuc, after exercising his right to vote, said the PDM is the only party that by order and discipline established at institutions and in the country, by the promoted economic policies, managed to bring 15 billion lei into the country’s budget, which is more than any other government could bring, IPN reports.
Vlad Plahotniuc called on the electors to go and vote for the three roses, for the only party that can further ensure political stability and economic development in the country. He called on the people to vote the PDM and its candidates in constituencies.
The Democratic leader said that in the referendum he voted for the people’s wish to become a reality. “The people want a more efficient Parliament. They want the MPs whom they elect to be responsible and they want to be able to punish the MPs if they do not fulfil their duties,” he stated.
Vlad Plahotniuc voted alongside his son Timofei Plahotniuc.
Parliamentary elections and a national consultative referendum take place in Moldova on February 24. The polling places were opened at 7am and will be closed at 9pm.
